We currently have an opportunity for an Estates Administrator to join our team based in Exeter. Joining us on a full-time, permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £23,152 - £24,000 per annum plus excellent benefits.
 
About the role
 
As our Estates Administrator, you will be working with the Estates team to facilitate a range of projects associated with third-party land for the purposes of providing water and sewerage services, this ranges from land referencing to identify and liaising with the landowners and occupiers (whether it be for new works or maintenance on existing apparatus), serving of notices and gaining access to the land, to assessment and payment of compensation for the works carried out which frequently involves dealing with agents acting on the landowners behalf.
 
You will provide the technical administrative support relating to the Estates team which will include reporting, budget & financial management and scheme documentation.

What you’ll be doing:

    • Maintaining key project documentation: accurately completing, recording, logging, and storing key documentation to ensure that all project files have a clear and concise audit trail in line with company procedures
    • Liaising with the Group’s legal advisors in respect of various property matters and to agree terms and conditions and drafting of conveyances, leases, options, and other property agreements
    • Undertaking property due diligence in connection with new sites, company acquisitions, and other development opportunities, including contract bids
    • Checking and updating site ownership plans and deal, where appropriate, with boundary discrepancies appropriately
    • Ensuring that specific deadlines for project milestones and workloads etc. are met, and outputs meet required standards. Work with Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and Head of Delivery to ensure that projects are delivered to time and budget
    • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of projects and programmes

What we are looking for:

    • Experience of manipulating and analysing data effectively, using computer-based spreadsheet packages
    • Proven administrative experience in a busy office environment
    • Able to manage high volume workloads with ability to organise logically and methodically
    • Effective oral and written communication skills.
    • Computer literate and skilled in the use of MS Office programs
    • Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
    • A desire to learn and progress
