We currently have an opportunity for a Customer Tariff Specialist to join our team based in Exeter. Joining us on a full-time permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of circa £25,000 per annum plus excellent benefits.
 
About the role
 
As our Customer Tariff Specialist will provide high quality customer service to South West Water, Bournemouth Water and Bristol Water household customers in accordance with business priorities and targets, with a specific focus on customer contacts regarding £50 Government Contribution (GC50) and Progressive Charging trials.
You will become a subject matter expert in the policy and application of GC50 and our innovative Progressive Charging trials, engaging with customers and managing their queries and concerns to resolution across all channels, ensuring that tariff application and billing is seamless as well as supporting analysis and audit preparation.
This role is critical in ensuring that the £50 Government Contribution is applied and so that Progressive Tariffs are trailed and tested so that should these be successful they can be rolled out across our region at scale, as committed within our Business Plan to 2030 and to the benefit of our customers.
 

What you’ll be doing:

    • Managing and resolving customers queries and concerns through to resolution in respect of all non standard tariff contacts.
    • Be a subject matter expert providing support to colleagues across the business to build understanding
    • Adhering to the application of relevant governance relating to policy, procedure or financial management
    • Data input, preparation and reconciliation across a number of systems to ensure accurate customer bills and statements.
    • Support audit processes and data provision.

What we are looking for:

    • Minimum of GCSE Grade C in English and Maths
    • Experience of existing systems, tariffs and policies preferred.
    • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
    • Skilled in Microsoft Office Excel, other Microsoft applications and relevant software
    • Excellent organisational, numeracy and communication skills both verbal and written
    • Able to work accurately, prioritise work and manage time effectively.
    • Ability to constructively challenge accepted thinking and methods
