We currently have an opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our team based in Exeter. Joining us on a full-time permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum plus excellent benefits.
 
About the role
 
As our Finance Business Partner you will fulfil monthly accounting responsibilities and provide financial support to business directorates and management teams by preparing, analysing and reporting financial information providing insight into performance.

What you’ll be doing:

    • Preparation of the monthly management accounts including preparation of accruals, prepayments and provisions, processing of journals and investigation of variances.
    • Analysis of performance, reporting on variances to budget/forecast, undertake investigation and work with management teams to correct performance.
    • Development and preparation of high-quality reports and management information for Management Teams.
    • Partner with operations acting as the main point of contact for senior managers including presenting findings at management team monthly financial meetings.
    • Preparation and ownership of journal logs and balance sheet reconciliations
    • Lead the production of detailed driver-based budgets based on business performance in coordination with the Operations management teams.
    • Lead the production of quarterly forecasts taking into account any deviations from budget.
    • Prepare the capital reporting analysis for business directorates, reporting on variances to budget/forecast on capital projects.

What we are looking for:

    • Fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) and previous experience in a finance role
    • Commercial acumen and analytical skills
    • Technically sound knowledge of management accounting principles and practice (accruals/prepayments/journal processing).
    • Strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, lookup formulas etc).
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the business to build key working relationships.
    • Ability to consistently deliver accurate and timely financial information.
    • Proactive attitude with a desire to learn and understand the business and use this to provide good customer service.
