Are you an experienced HR professional with a focus on delivering real change within a fast paced and agile team?
 
We currently have an opportunity for a People Business Partner to join our team based in Bristol or Exeter. Joining us on a permanent basis, you will receive an annual salary of £45,000 - £50,000 and excellent benefits. We can offer this role as an immediate start to the right candidate.
 
About the role
As People Business Partner, you will partner the leadership team, playing a key part as an integrated member of the management team, providing advice and guidance on people related issues and acting as an employee champion. You will also create effective relationships across the HR function to deliver value-added service that reflects the business objectives, contributing to HR strategic projects as required. Supporting our Operations teams, you will work in partnership to set and deliver a people plan aligned with the people strategy and business objectives. You will also need to be flexible to travel to Exeter and Bristol.


What you'll be doing:

    • Consulting with leaders to create a people plan to influence lasting change over business functions that is aligned to the overall group strategy.
    • Ensuring that the organisation is structured in a way that helps achieve business objectives.  Manage talent effectively to ensure we have the right people in the right place. Enable business leaders to cultivate an effective leadership pipeline.
    • Managing and delivering effective man-power planning, performance management, talent reviews and succession plans.
    • Being a trusted advisor and coach to leadership and play a critical role in enhancing their effectiveness.
    • Driving people-related initiatives with your communication, coaching and influencing skills.
    • Challenging the status quo and continue to develop ideas, benchmarking against best practice and industry standards.
    • Providing insightful data to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions.
    • Working effectively with ER to resolve and manage ER cases
    • Partnering with and the Centres of Expertise to deliver a high-value service to the business.

What we are looking for:

    • CIPD qualified or significant equivalent experience
    • Worked as HR Business Partner or generalist
    • Experience working in a unionised environment
    • Effective consulting and coaching skills
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with Senior Leaders
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Confident and articulate influencer and communicator at all levels; proven presentation skills
