Great opportunity for a Community Manager to join our Customer Services team. This is a hybrid role based in either our Exeter, Bristol or Redhill office. You will join on a salary of up to £35,000 plus benefits.

The role

As Community Manager you will be responsible for preparing materials for the Independent Customer Challenge Group, the WaterShare+ Advisory Panel. You will be communicating complex regulatory information, business performance and customer research to the group of external stakeholders in a clear and accessible way. You will be liaising with senior managers across Bristol Water, SES and South West Water to gather the information and ensure its prepared and presented in line with the agreed schedule of meetings. 

This is a great opportunity as you will also to lead on our Better Futures programme - Our £5 million Better Futures Programme supports individuals and the community, helping to reduce hardship and benefit people and places throughout the region.

What you’ll be doing

    • Lead the strategy, delivery and planning for the Better Futures fund.
    • Ensure the WaterShare+ Advisory Panel and subgroups have information clearly presented to them.
    • Make sure the actions and challenges raised by the WaterShare+ are responded to and resolved by the company.
    • Oversee the production of the WaterShare+ annual report.
    • Develop slide packs and briefing papers for the WaterShare+, covering content on  but not limited to, the future business plan, company performance, and regulatory updates.
    • Attend meetings on a wide range of topics and interpret a range of materials and present it to the external Stakeholders.
    • Liaise with senior managers and Directors to gather all business needs that are required for the WaterShare+ meetings.
    • Communicate back to Senior Managers and Directors the changes needed following challenges made by the WaterShare+ Panel.

What we’re looking for

    • Proven experience of building relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders
    • Experience of working in a regulated environment
    • Proven experience of project work and working to timescales and deadlines
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Influencing skills
    • Experience of working with word, excel and powerpoint
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the business and build key working relationships, both internal and external
    • An excellent attention to detail with the ability to consistently deliver accurately and timely information
    • Full driving licence is required
