The Sr. Manager, Project Management and Delivery at Sparkfund designed to provide an excellent customer experience to customers who are utilizing Sparkfund’s Technology Subscription to procure energy technologies across multiple installation sites. Reporting to the Director of Project Management & Delivery, and working closely with our CCO and our Commercial Operations team, you will have the responsibility to manage implementation projects ranging from remote coordination to onsite engagement through Sparkfund’s provider program channels. Working closely with our Engineering team, you will work directly with manufacturers, contractors, and installers externally to coordinate regional and national scale programmatic installations from audit through final installation. You will champion the customer’s viewpoint within Sparkfund to ensure satisfaction with Sparkfund’s services and to achieve customer acceptance upon final installation, in accordance with
contract terms.

This position can be based remotely anywhere within the continental US.

Key Responsibilities

    • Contribute to the team that is responsible for installing and maintaining energy technology for Sparkfund’s customers nationally, including LED lighting, HVAC, and resiliency (on-site power generation) and associated control systems. 
    • Act as the customer advocate to ensure that all customer site visits and the installation process provides an excellent customer experience, serving as point of contact for the customer throughout project implementation, and responding to questions, concerns, and complaints along the way
    • Collaborate with our customer support team to keep customer’s abreast of project developments and to remedy occasional post-installation service concerns
    • Hold installers accountable to Sparkfund’s expectations, including implementation timeline and performance standards
    • Implement / project manage internal and external established processes during installation of Sparkfund projects
    • Continually make suggestions to improve Sparkfund’s processes by documenting and updating policies, while providing feedback to Sparkfund leadership on experiences with customers and partners
    • Review project proposals from our subcontractors 
    • Help select appropriate contractors from Sparkfund’s approved partners list for each job, factoring in technology, expertise, and geography 

Required Skills & Qualifications

    • 4-5 years of prior field experience in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or other Applied Sciences discipline, and/or related areas
    • Knowledge of the commercial and industrial construction industry
    • Demonstrated success in project management of multiple projects simultaneously, and of complex problem solving and solutions development to specified results and outcomes
    • Demonstrated prior relationship management experience, and customer service skills
    • Ability to travel domestically up to 50% of the time depending on assignment
    • Consistent track record of working collaboratively with a myriad of individuals across company teams, including business development, finance, and operations teams 
    • Ability to communicate complex topics with simplicity and clarity to non-technical stakeholders
    • Strong writing skills, ability to concisely communicate project findings, convey concerns, and provide trip and project reports to management
    • Prior experience in sustainability or energy efficiency, to include a knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, power generation and energy storage (engine-driven generator, BESS, PV solar, etc), and/or HVAC technology
    • Prior experience managing subcontractors within the building industry
    • Comfort with day-to-day operations using software and cloud-based information management tools including G Suite, Asana, MS Project, and Slack
    • Dedication to what we’re building at Sparkfund to make an impact through increasing access to new better energy technology and systems worldwide

We’d love it if you have

    • Prior field experience in Sales Engineering
    • Commercial building auditing experience
    • Experience with processes for commissioning common building systems including HVAC
