As our Concrete Carpenter, you will support the building construction team with various carpentry activities including interpreting specifications, measurements, reinforcing concrete, installations and finishing work. A successful candidate in this role should have previous experience with flat surface concrete projects, a professional work ethic, a teamwork mindset and the commitment to achieve the SpawGlass mission.

What you'll do

    • Formwork Construction and Installation: Skillfully build and install forms for concrete structures, ensuring accuracy and alignment according to blueprints and specifications.
    • Reinforcement and Pouring: Expertly place rebar, wire mesh, and other reinforcements within forms and oversee the pouring of concrete, achieving smooth finishes and proper consolidation.
    • Safety and Quality Assurance: Prioritize safety protocols throughout all tasks, maintaining a safe working environment, and uphold high standards of craftsmanship to deliver durable and aesthetically pleasing concrete surfaces.
    • Efficiency and Team Collaboration: Work efficiently to meet project deadlines, collaborate effectively with team members, and adapt to varying project requirements and environments to ensure successful project outcomes.

Essential Functions
You must be able to twist, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, climb stairs, walk on uneven ground, work above ground on scaffolds, have depth of perception to avoid excavations and other hazards, hear well enough to recognize the sounds of horns and sirens on moving equipment and have good finger manipulation.  There is a constant lifting of 10 lbs., frequent lifting of 25 lbs. and maximum single person lifting of 50 lbs.  For items over 50 lbs. get assistance from a co worker.  Team members must be able to climb on light or heavy equipment, carry and use hand tools.  There is standing up to seven hours of an eight-hour shift.  Ability to work in outside temperatures from 25 - 115 degrees.
