As part of Spendesk Financial Services (SFS), you will join a team delivering payment features and financial services to Spendesk’s customers.
While we are rolling-out our new phase of growth with our own payment infrastructure to serve our customers in Europe, new opportunities arise as we want to :
Offer more value to our customers, thanks to additional financial services products and payement features,
Optimize our operational efficiency with our infrastructure partners and with upcoming investments focused on expanding AI-driven capabilities in our products and processes
Commit on our Product excellence delivery and Customer Value
Reduce the level of risk with a limited number of partners
Improve our revenues and gross margin coming from this FS stack.
In this context, we are building a team of experts to expands our capabilities with FS & Payments infrastructure leaders and leverage to its maximum potential the partnerships with these external service providers.
As our partnerships manager, you will support the delivery of our FS partnerships and monitor the partnership performance
Key Responsibilities
- Benchmark new potential FS partners for both core and additional FS services offered by Spendesk: wire transfers, open banking, card manufacturing, etc.
- Run a selection process including designing a Request for Proposal (RFP), evaluating partner's proposals, negotiating commercial conditions (prices, payment terms, SLAs...).
- Contribute to the contractualization phase, coordinating cross-functional review of the contract and negotiating together with our legal team.
- Support the SFS Leadership and Product Managers (Payments, Risk & Compliance, Operations, Security) for the management of our relationship with 20+ existing and future potential partners: engage with partners in the context of information collection, RFP processes, governance and performance reviews, compliance requirements around the supervision of essential providers, etc.
- Monitor partnership performance in line with EOSP/OSP requirements including governance, reporting, audit review, budget analysis, and financial performance of the partnership including: Risk Management, Operational performance monitoring (SLAs, Incident Management, etc.), Financial performance management (Costs control, Budget preparation, etc.) and Contract follow-up (ensure contract renewal/negotiation in due time).
- Build AI capabilities for FS partnership management.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience working with Financial Services providers in a similar role or in consulting or internal procurement positions.
- Fluency in French and English.
- Experience in the EU space is a must. UK and/or the USA would be a plus.
- Availability to work from the Paris office 4 days a week.
Core Competencies
- Analytical skills: ability to deliver complete benchmarks on multiple dimensions such as costs, feature coverage, alignment with strategy.
- Communication: ability to manage internal and external stakeholders, vulgarize and summarize decisions on partner selection processes.
- Payment expertise: general understanding of the payments sphere and its regulatory context. In-depth understanding of at least one of the following would be a plus: card issuing, acquiring, wire transfers, account management.
- Partnership Management: Ability to work autonomously and manage complex partnerships in regulated environments, such as banking or financial services, which implies strong negotiation and procurement skills.
