About the role
The Finance Operations Assistant is a key member of the finance team, supporting the day-to-day financial operations within the organisation. This role involves handling weekly billing, processing invoices, and addressing customer service queries.
This role also assists with financial reconciliations and helps manage operational tasks. The position ensures the smooth running of financial processes and collaboration between the finance and operations teams. Based out of our Aldgate, London office, this role reports directly to the UK Finance Manager.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end billing process, including raising and issuing invoices, credit notes, and payment allocations
- Reconcile customer accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve any payment disputes
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls
- Assisting with customer recharge analysis
- Collaborate with customer service teams to address billing inquiries and disputes
- Foster strong relationships with internal departments and external vendors to facilitate effective billing processes
- Responsible for Payment gateway and revenue system reconciliation
- Ownership of the Refund Process
- Responsible for customer contract reviews
- Provide administrative support for the finance team and handle ad hoc tasks as required
What you’ll bring
- Degree qualified in either accounting or business
- Experience with Revenue Systems like Chargebee (desirable)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to solve complex issues
- Able to work under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Computer software skills, including Excel and other accounting packages
