About the Role
 
The Commercial Manager role, reporting to our Chief Commercial Officer will form an exciting opportunity for someone looking to step up into a Commercial Manager role or be a seasoned professional looking for a change. This role is essential to our continued growth plans with a heavy focus on ensuring our supplier relationships are maintained and contractual arrangements are managed, along with: 

    • Creating the framework and tender process from which to select and contract suppliers.
    • Preparation and Management of Tender Processes
    • A focus on achieving Commercial Excellence whilst controlling costs.
    • Ensure balance when selecting suppliers between Splend’s requirements and those of our customers.
    • Assist in developing Splend’s Hub (Operational Sites) Strategy
    • Assist in negotiating terms to acquire or lease Splend Hubs and managing lease expiry dates.
    • Assist in developing and operationalising new Splend sites. 

What You’ll Bring

    • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar position
    • Degree in Commerce (Business, Finance, Economics or Procurement) preferred.
    • Proven experience in managing supplier relationships.
    • Proven experience in creating and managing contractual arrangements.
    • Experience in managing property leases and property development (desirable).
    • Experience within Fleet Management or rental car business (desirable).
    • You’ll be a team player with a high level of business acumen and analytical skills
    • Advanced level in Excel
    • Strong communication skills and confident in engaging with senior stakeholders.
    • Ability to present data in a concise manner
