As Splice’s Content & Community Strategist you’ll be responsible for telling the stories we need to tell to shape our brand and grow our user base. You’ll define and execute our content strategy across channels as well as oversee community management both on our social channels and within our product. We’re looking for someone who not only creates amazing content and builds strong online communities but also understands how content fits into a multi-channel marketing strategy and a multi-step marketing funnel.

What You'll Do:

    • Develop, execute, and continuously refine a content marketing strategy and roadmap to support Splice’s goals
    • Establish KPIs for content and key content channels (social, blog)
    • Collaborate with Brand Partnerships to identify strategic content partnership and syndication opportunities to reach and educate new customers
    • Oversee the creation of monthly editorial & social calendars with content that brings to life core brand themes, tells stories that involve our products and our community, and offers Splice’s take on timely topics in music
    • Oversee community management of social media platforms
    • Act as our resident expert on all things editorial and social, including testing emerging platforms, and keeping on top of what our competitors are doing
    • Drive strategy, concepting, and execution for live video programs, including Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook
    • Oversee community programs aimed at growing engagement both on social platforms as well as in Splice Community itself
    • Manage a team of freelance and in-house content creators and community managers
    • Analyze data and compile weekly/monthly reports that include metrics on engagement, community growth, referral traffic and conversions, customer acquisition, etc.

What We're Looking For:

    • 5-7 years of digital content creation experience
    • Demonstrated ability to concept ideas and bring them to fruition for digital channels through words and visuals
    • Deep understanding of the most important social media metrics and knowledge of tools for measuring and reporting on them
    • Not just a creative but a strategic creative who can set a strategy, define measurable objectives, and report on results
    • Experience with data-driven SEO analysis and optimization
    • Experience with scaling and building a content business with external partners
    • Extensive experience with video a must
    • Knowledge of music production
