Splice is looking for an experienced Art Director and Designer to join the Brand Team in New York to lead design of our Artist and Content initiatives. In this role you’ll be responsible for managing all visual content released through our numerous Artist Partnerships. You’ll lead the visual tone throughout all artist content on the web and in video. You’ll work closely with the Artist Team to assure the highest quality representation of the artist is conveyed and all touch points for releases are covered. You’ll manage and execute creative for sample pack releases, editorial video, features, and more. You’ll work closely with brand designers to assure consistency in messaging and the Splice brand.

What You'll Do:

    • Lead the visual tone in artist content: Be an advocate for the brand and quality across all content channels including photo and video
    • Concept and execute creative for artist editorial content: Collaborate with producers and creative director to concept video projects. Assist in shoots and oversee production to assure consistency
    • Manage collaborators: Source and manage creative collaborators such as graphic designers, motion designers, and illustrators for specific projects
    • Recruit, manage, and mentor a team of in-house designers
    • Prioritize and execute accordingly: Work with stakeholders to moving projects forward and meet set deadlines for releases and artist collaborations
    • Concept and Create Artist Assets: Collaborate with the label team to direct or create Sample Pack Art. Manage delivery and execution of promotional assets for releases
    • Collaborate with the Brand team: Help make sure we move with a consistent voice across channels by working closely with the Brand team to develop and deploy and ensure consistency for the Splice brand

What We're Looking For:

    • 3+ years in studio or in-house: Experience building strong creative around central brands
    • Excellent visual design skills: Mastery of typography, color, and composition
    • Ability to multitask: Handle multiple projects simultaneously and communicate bottlenecks clearly
    • Organized & self-motivated: You hold yourself accountable for your decisions and meet deadlines when presented. You are always searching for the best solution
    • Mastery of Design Tools: Fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite
    • Communication: Able to clearly communicate ideas and maintain communication channels effectively through lengthy projects and multiple stakeholders
    • Humble and objective: Able to provide, receive, and incorporate constructive feedback
