We are seeking a dedicated Junior People Operations Specialist to join our growing team. This role plays a crucial part in supporting our team and employees, fostering a positive work environment within Brazil. The Junior People Operations Specialist will be responsible for supporting the People Operations Team on HR admin related activities including onboarding and offboarding processes, terminations, administration, and office operations.
In addition to the local activities, the person in this role will collaborate and work closely with our International People Operations team.
Responsibilities
Support admissions, terminations, and onboarding (medical exams, contracts, documents, etc.)
Maintain HR records, time tracking (absences), and vacation schedules
Handle employee documentation and ensure compliance with local requirements
Organize and track equipment, swag, uniforms, and onboarding kits
Assist with purchases, payments, and invoice tracking via finance systems
Support daily office operations (supplies, vendors, logistics)
Help plan internal events and employee engagement activities
Keep HR trackers and spreadsheets up to date
Provide routine support to LatAm employees and cross-functional teams
Champion and embody Sporty’s culture by fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace environment - both in the office and through thoughtfully planned corporate events
Requirements
Degree in HR, Business or Psychology is preferred
At least 1+ year of experience as a People Operations Assistant / HR Assistant
Strong knowledge of Brazilian labour laws & regulations
Should be able to work independently as well as work well in a team environment
Effective stakeholder management, relationship-building, and consulting expertise
Fluency in written and spoken English, Portuguese and Spanish is essential
Strong data management skills Strong understanding of market intelligence
Capability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Available to work from the office in São Paulo/SP
