Spotify’s Trust & Safety team is dedicated to creating a platform that’s safe for users and creators and true to our values. We are seeking an outstanding Policy Specialist to join our Market Responsibility team, with a primary focus on supporting and scaling Spotify’s transparency reporting operations.
This role addresses gaps in transparency report execution and enables us to scale the scope, cadence, and complexity of our reporting obligations across global regulatory frameworks. You’ll bring structure to an evolving space, manage cross-functional alignment, and ensure that Spotify’s transparency reporting is accurate, auditable, and impactful.
What You'll Do
- Support the preparation and delivery of Spotify’s transparency reports, including organizing documentation, coordinating reviews, and helping track reporting timelines.
- Assist with project coordination during reporting cycles — scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and following up with cross-functional partners on action items.
- Work closely with data teams to help gather and validate metrics, and contribute to basic QA checks to ensure consistency and completeness across categories.
- Help maintain organized, auditable reporting materials by managing version-controlled documentation, SOPs, templates, and internal trackers to support transparency reporting workflows.
- Monitor regulatory updates and surface upcoming reporting requirements or deadlines to the broader team.
- Track changes to tools, policies, or enforcement practices that may affect data classification and reporting accuracy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Legal, and T&S to incorporate their input into report drafts and related documentation.
- Assist with other Trust & Safety and policy-related projects as needed — including legal request tracking, internal process documentation, or research.
Who You Are
- BA/BS degree required.
- 4+ years of experience in a content moderation, transparency reporting, policy, or trust & safety role.
- Familiar with global online safety regulations such as the DSA, UKOSA, NetzDG, or India IT Rules.
- Proven project manager, able to lead complex workstreams across functions and time zones.
- Experience with data validation, report drafting, and public-facing metrics reporting.
- Exceptional attention to detail; able to flag inconsistencies and synthesize large amounts of structured and unstructured data.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills — able to engage with Legal, and cross-functional teams with clarity and confidence.
- Strong written and verbal communicator; capable of translating technical or legal concepts into user-friendly explanations.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and brings structure to evolving processes.
- Solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for improving systems, documentation, and data accuracy.
Where You'll Be
- We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! For this role, you can be within the United States region as long as we have a work location.
- This team operates within the Eastern Standard time zone for collaboration.
