We are looking for someone who has a proven record of revenue generation within the Retail category and a deep interest and passion for digital media and innovation. We are looking for someone to join our vertical sales team. We want someone who loves our product and knows how to sell advertising solutions for clients and partners! You should be confident while staying humble, work hard, and know how to have fun. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music and podcasts on Spotify.

What You'll Do

    • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with our key named clients across the Retail vertical allowing us to better understand their businesses and position Spotify as an invaluable partner in overcoming their strategic challenges
    • Sell Ads solutions including audio, video and display formats , in order to grow advertising revenues by creating, maintaining, and sustaining relationships with media agencies, creative agencies, clients and any other relevant stakeholders
    • Work across multiple marketing and agency departments, i.e. brand, buying, strategy, comms planning, radio, digital, programmatic, branded content and innovation teams, to deliver successful campaigns
    • Coordinate with the communications planning team and strategic planners, client partners, and buyers to build successful ad campaigns
    • Partner with internal marketing, brand partnerships, and label relations teams to increase revenue for Spotify and our partners
    • Focus on consultative brand selling, educating and inspiring our clients to use Spotify to enhance their business objectives
    • Meet and exceed advertising revenue goals
    • Maintain a high volume of in-person client engagement with brands and agencies
    • Represent Spotify at events and serve as a brand ambassador, communicating our core narratives and reinforcing the strong position Spotify holds in the marketplace
    • Accurate forecasting, reporting daily and weekly and timely insights about your business and customers are vital.
    • Use of Salesforce is required as a primary method of managing your day-to-day business

Who You Are

    • You have 8+ years of commercial advertising experience at Retail brands, agencies or in a media/online sales role
    • Knowledge of online and offline media and the ability to be creative with audio and digital client solutions is required
    • Strong negotiation skills with the capability to consultatively sell, as well as product selling, present effectively and the resilience to chase down and close business
    • Experience in building a pipeline and a consistent track record of exceeding goals is required
    • Dexterity in creating reports and presentations using Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, etc
    • A deep understanding of the digital ecosystem is required
    • A standout colleague, hard-working, adapts well to change and has a positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced, exciting environment and across external and internal teams to deliver creative, fresh campaigns
    • Fluent Spanish and English language, spoken and written is required
