Job Title: Software Engineer II
DUTIES: Design and build efficient, reusable backend components that will be deployed and maintained on cloud infrastructure technologies. Architect, develop, and operate Java services that power features impacting millions of users and artists. Work with other team members to investigate design approaches, and to identify, define improvements to the existing infrastructure around user behavior. Develop code, build continuous integration and continuous delivery, test automation, and dashboards for monitoring health of systems. Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency). Collaborate with other engineers, product owners, and designers to ensure that the platform meets business requirements and is scalable, reliable, and secure. Mentor and support engineers for org-wide technical growth in an autonomous, cross-functional environment. *Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed in any location in the U.S.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field of study and three (3) years of experience in job offered or related role. Must have three (3) years of experience with: building high throughput, low latency services for internal and external Customers; cloud services like AWS or GCP; object-oriented programming including Java or Python; web-based API technologies (REST, GraphQL, SSO, Token Management and IAM); system design, data structures, and algorithms; full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations; and agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and responsible experimentation.
SALARY: $143,499 to $215,249 / year
WORK SCHEDULE: 9am to 5pm, 40 hours a week. (Monday – Friday)
