The Podcast Studio Sales Strategist will act as a link between external UK-based podcast production studios (e.g. KILM, Goalhanger, Immediate Media, etc.) and Spotify’s ad production project management team, which primarily includes outside 3rd party vendors. They will vet approvals in pre-sale as well as aid in post-sale ad production across a variety of offerings, both low and high touch. The role will also support internal cross-functional sales teams, helping them close deals and drive revenue growth.

What You'll Do

    • Attend weekly cross-functional meetings inclusive of external partners
    • Submit brands and coordinated solutions concepts for approval in pre-sale
    • Support operationalizing new offerings and define processes with external partners
    • Project manage post-sale production, including script delivery, asset delivery, product delivery, and social post schedules
    • Run a booking calendar for limited sponsorship opportunities across internal and external sales teams
    • Maintain communication between studios and Spotify as it pertains to category exclusivity and booking calendar management
    • Build GTM materials for new shows
    • Collaborate with Business Operations to operationalize new shows prior to launch for monetization
    • Communicate show updates to the sales team and update materials accordingly
    • Conduct training sessions with the larger Sales, Account Management, and Creative Operations teams as needed pertaining to updates
    • Communicate production changes to production vendors and sales leadership
    • Strategize and support opportunities for revenue growth
    • Serve as primary sales and production support for designated shows to the studio partners
    • Facilitate meetings between show partners and Spotify clients for larger partnerships
    • Collaborate with global peers to standardize and streamline offerings in market
    • Onboard external partners to monetization and production process
    • Support sponsored event offerings by packaging opportunities and seeing through event deliverables
    • Improve monetization of our O&L Shows through inventory analysis
    • Key operational point of contact for internal podcast partners, helping translate our business needs to decision makers and put together training and GTM plans for rollout of new and innovative products
    • Identify and support project rollouts for new tools and process changes to increase the efficiency of our Podcast Advertising organization. Key point of contact for diagnosing issues, providing recommendations, and giving advice where needed (IE, SHIFT TOOL not working, inventory projections)
    • Work with Ads Business Insights team to identify trends and help advise podcast roadmap when it comes to forecasting and anything else that could potentially impact listenership of a podcast and how to monetize it
    • Maintain weekly inventory snapshots for the EMEA sales team. Providing an easy way to see what’s available where and how to book.

Who You Are

    • You have a Bachelor’s degree
    • You have 6+ years of experience in a media or sales support role; podcast media/sales experience preferred
    • You are passionate about podcasts and have a deep understanding of the UK/EMEA podcast ecosystem
    • You are a standout colleague, smart, adapt well to change, and have a positive attitude
    • You have strong communication skills and the ability to navigate complicated situations
    • You have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with different deadlines, collaborating effectively with various colleagues and partners to identify and tackle problems while ensuring successful outcomes
    • You have experience with talent and talent management 

Where You'll Be

    • For this role there will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home. We ask that you come into the London office 3 times per week.
