Spotify is looking for a team member to join the Indonesia Music team under the Early Career Program. Spotify's Early Career Programs are designed to impact the careers of emerging talent by cultivating career affirming opportunities and incubating programs.

The Music team’s mission is to power Spotify with music and local culture expertise to create the world’s leading destination for artists and listeners. We are looking for a passionate individual to help connect audiences and artists, enrich users’ lives & empower the creative community in service of Spotify’s business goals in Indonesia. 

In this role, you will support the building and handling of relationships with external partners, including artists, managers, labels, distributors & other music adjacent businesses. This will involve working with the Artist & Label Partnerships team in driving innovative and fruitful partnerships with the music industry, and internally through Spotify driven initiatives to ensure that artists, managers and labels see Spotify as the preferred music partner. 

You will supplement this by working with the Editorial team on identifying and curating first rate music playlist listening experiences for a multitude of our moods, moments and genres with a focus on GenZ & current trends,supporting the strategic development of the music ecosystem for Indonesia. In addition, you will work closely with the Music team overall on performance-oriented analytics, data insights and competitor analysis. 

This is a 24months program (2 year contract) and reports to the Marketing Lead & Market Strategy Operations Lead.

What You'll Do

    • Support the Artist & Label Partnerships on artists campaigns and key music initiatives Monitor & manage artist-specific content provided to Spotify’s key business partners
    • Assist industry partners in accessing and adopting tools provided by Spotify
    • Work cross functionally with wider internal teams to execute projects & fulfil the team's strategic goals
    • Support editorial curation for the Indonesian market & identify opportunities to elevate the content experience
    • Support execution for extended music partnerships, i.e. Live
    • Work closely with the Artist & Label Partnerships and Editorial team to optimise operational efficiencies for internal & external partners
    • Generate music-related research and trend insights for and produce campaign reporting, to support the Artist & Label Partnerships and Editorial teams
    • Collaborate with the wider Music team on metrics tracking, competitor analysis in support for Indonesia & the SEA region 

Who You Are

    • Graduate / Post-Graduate with 24 months of experience in a role within Music, Live Industry, Radio, Music Journalism or streaming/digital platforms
    • You are passionate about music & entertainment and is innovative with a growth mindset, exhibit curiosity and ia always looking for opportunities to improve the way we work
    • A flair for written & verbal communication, and has the ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally & manage both internal & external stakeholders 
    • You are passionate about fueling fandom as a way of getting in touch with new audiences & driving Artist-fan connections to deepen the platform experience 
    • Highly organised, with the ability to work across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
    • You possess a perfect level of languages required namely Bahasa Indonesia and English and you’re also able to demonstrate a strong understanding of - and experience with -  Spotify as a user and fan.
    • Proficiency in other local languages is a plus.
    • You have an interest in data, & has an analytical approach with the ability to interpret music listening trends, audience, artist insights and translate these into relevant and impactful music insights to help improve the content experience and Artist-led campaigns
