The User Platform studio is seeking a Senior Engineer to help us bootstrap our device and app integrity capabilities to help us protect our applications and users from fraud and abuse. This role combines extensive cross platform engineering with advanced security practices, and your work will form the core of our defense against an evolving threat landscape.
What You'll Do
- Design and own the high-level architecture of a cross-platform, high-performance capability for device analysis.
- Lead the team's technical strategy, conduct architectural analysis, and steer research and development to improve the accuracy and resilience of our device identification methods.
- Analyse the available data using tools like BigQuery to find patterns, analyse impact and improve our offering.
- Mentor a dedicated team of platform engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaborative problem-solving.
- Collaborate with platform review teams in Spotify and at Apple and Google, articulating the solution's purpose and data handling practices to ensure policy compliance.
- Share knowledge, establish best practices, and collaborate with teams across the company to champion platform integrity.
Who You Are
- You are a seasoned systems engineer with proven experience in systems architecture, data analysis, and building resilient, distributed services.
- You believe in operating across the entire stack and can learn the skills needed to unblock yourself and your team.
- You are well versed in modern C++ with extensive, practical experience building and optimizing cross-platform libraries.
- You have a working knowledge of Android and/or iOS platforms and are comfortable with coding your way out of blockers on these systems.
- You are an effective leader and mentor who finds satisfaction in guiding and developing team members.
- You are an exceptional communicator, capable of translating complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders with clarity and precision.

Where You'll Be
- This role will ideally be located in the UK, Sweden, or potentially one of our other EMEA locations *excluding France for now due to on-call restrictions.
- We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
