The Communications Manager, Nordics, supports the Nordic region ensuring the implementation of relevant strategic initiatives from across Spotify’s global business. The Communications Manager is pivotal in driving the reputation of the Spotify brand in Sweden and throughout the region; the ideal candidate can lead proactive and reactive communications from planning to execution across all communications, leveraging a wide array of channels (earned, owned, paid, shared). The candidate will act as a trusted communication partner to internal stakeholders and media and can take a creative and playful approach to both corporate and consumer activities. This person will report into the Head of Communications Europe, and work in tandem with the Head of Communications, Nordics. 

What You'll Do

    • Strategic planning and tactical execution across all channels to elevate our business and local objectives
    • Event management and organization where applicable and needed
    • Day-to-day monitoring
    • Build and maintain strong relations with key media and influencers in order to drive communication objectives
    • Management of the day-to-day monitoring
    • Reactively manage time-sensitive situations, in collaboration with the Head of Communications Nordics
    • Develop and maintain local budgets, drive a culture of transparency and collaboration with local agency partners
    • Play an active role on the local leadership team, driving strategic conversations and decision-making processes with business partners

Who You Are

    • An excellent storyteller with strong interpersonal skills,
    • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and under pressure, without sacrificing attention to detail,
    • Collaborative and playful, with ideally an experience in the tech/entertainment industry,
    • 5+ years of experience in similar roles, in-house or on the agency side,
    • Strong writer, strategic thinker, and a problem-solver,
    • Motivated independent worker with a hands-on demeanour who can prioritise
    • WFH allowed; Stockholm-based preferred
    • Comfortable working as part of a distributed team across Europe
    • Fluent in English, another European language would be ideal

Where You'll Be

    • For this role, there will be some in-person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home. We ask that you come into the Stockholm office 2-3 times per week.
