User Platform (UP) is a studio in the SAFE Alliance as part of Spotify's Platform Mission. The studio owns capabilities and infrastructure for Customer Identity and Access Management at Spotify.
The studio was established with a central mission: to connect users with Spotify and Spotify with its users. Its purpose is to provide a secure platform that allows users to establish their identity and manage their account data across various interfaces. At the same time, it empowers teams across Spotify to reliably tailor the overall user experience to meet individual needs.
User Platform is responsible for many of the core services needed for Spotify to function and provide the 700M+ users across the world access to the audio experience they desire
What You'll Do
- The user identity domain within UP ensures to maintain, and evolve the core identity model that underpins every user experience. The team work empowers Spotify to not only know who our users are, but also to understand and strengthen trust in their identity over time
- You will help deliver on the user identity strategy across R&D by building centralized systems to increase trust in user identity data
- Help to ensure that we deliver the right experience to our customers
Who You Are
- You are an engineer with a high passion for learning and contributing to a highly scalable, highly reliable distributed system
- You're keen on working on both backend and frontend
- You already have some experience, but are still at the early stages of your career
- You don’t shy away from complexity and changing requirements. You are willing to experiment and learn, throw code away and try a different approach
- You are proficient in Java
- You are comfortable building Web Apps using ReactJS (or other frontend frameworks)
- You are collaborative and playful.
Where You'll Be
- This role is based in London
- We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
