We're looking for a Sr. Manager of Outbound Transportation committed to owning and maximizing the performance of all outbound transportation. This leader will have extraordinary business acumen and leadership talent combined with a gift for building and maintaining strong partnerships. We are committed to meeting our customers’ needs for quick delivery and excellent customer service while exceeding our P&L goals. 

How you will achieve success:

    • Lead partner relationships that drive long-term value for Spreetail including clear operating performance metrics and routines and negotiating contracts.
    • Utilize data to validate, analyze, interpret and deliver performance objectives while working across internal and external partners to support day-to-day and company strategic direction and growth plans 
    • Build partnerships with our outbound carriers to optimize outbound performance as well as identify new carrier relationships that align with our shipping program needs and financial performance goals.
    • Conduct postmortem reviews with all stakeholders to ensure all learnings from most recent projects / operational changes are incorporated into active and future initiatives.  
    • FC Liaison for Outbound Transportation network changes – socializes and troubleshoots launch plans for new Carriers, CPTs, and Linehauls 

What experiences will help you in this role:

    • 5+ years of distribution and transportation leadership experience in retail or a similar environment, with a focus on outbound transportation.
    • Expansive exposure and experience in contract negotiations must include major small parcel carriers, freight carriers, and day carriers.
    • Practical experience with a Transportation Management System and Freight Audit System including inquiry and report writing.
    • Excellent leadership and relational talent combined with strong business acumen and an ability to build high-performance teams in a fast-paced, high-volume organization that mandates quick decision-making and effective communication.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, excellent written and oral skills, and experience performing in a goal-setting environment. 
$91,000 - $140,000 a year
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $91,000/year to $140,000/year. Pay is based on a number of factors including geographic market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Spreetail is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
