The Director of FC Launch & Network Strategy is a pivotal, high-impact leadership role tasked with scaling our physical logistics footprint. You will serve as the primary strategic and execution leader for all new Fulfillment Center launches, driving a cross-functional roadmap from concept to operational readiness. Furthermore, you will be key to optimizing our existing fulfillment network, applying advanced analysis to maximize warehouse capacity, innovate slotting strategies, and ensure long-term operational excellence. We need a proven leader who can deliver complex projects on time and budget while continually raising the bar for network performance.

How you will achieve success: 

    • Develop and execute comprehensive fulfillment center launch plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. 
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the launch process. 
    • Oversee the setup and configuration of the fulfillment center, including layout design, and equipment installation. 
    • Collaborate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely completion of construction and installation activities. 
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including senior management, vendors, and external partners, providing regular updates on launch progress and key milestones. 
    • Analyze current warehouse capacity and forecast future needs based on inventory growth, seasonality, and business expansion plans. Develop strategies to optimize space utilization while ensuring efficient workflows. 
    • Implement best practices for slotting inventory based on factors such as product velocity, size, and storage requirements. Continuously review and adjust slotting configurations to minimize travel time and maximize picking efficiency. 
    • Lead initiatives to redesign warehouse layout and storage configurations to accommodate changing business needs and improve operational efficiency. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement layout changes with minimal disruption to daily operations. 

What experiences will help you in this role:

    • 5+ years of experience in FC Operations/Program Management 
    • 5+ years negotiation experience; commercial Real Estate knowledge preferred 
    • Experience in space planning, labor modeling, process improvement 
    • Proven experience in managing enterprise projects, gathering and communicating with multiple stakeholder groups 
    • Strong problem solving & analytical skills  
$120,000 - $180,000 a year
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,000/year to $180,000/year. Pay is based on a number of factors including geographic market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Spreetail is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
