The Accounting department consists of teams focused on Accounts Payables, Revenue, Freight, and Inventory. The goal of this team is to account for every financial transaction related to the company and its activities, understand why these transactions occurred, and find ways to improve the company’s profitability. 

As a Payables Lead, you will:

    • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoicing.
    • Participate in Month- and Year-End close process.
    • Review, recommend and implement best practices regarding accounting policies and processes.
    • Manage efforts of team members in an ambiguous and dynamic business environment to meet company, department, and team metrics.
    • Lead payables associates and payables analysts through regular 1/1, provide career guidance and hold accountability for productivity.
    • Define business processes and execute recommended improvements that withstand the variability inherent to the business.
    • Drives issue resolution cross-functionally through effective communication to partners and leadership.
    • Design and monitor reporting and metrics; build and deliver recommendations that drive resolution.
    • Execution of defined P&C Processes, ensuring effective use of people to accomplish work and produce deliverables.
    • Assist with audits, both internal and external, by handling all accounts payable related requests.
    • Obtain vendor statements and reconcile open payables with their open receivable statement. Request missing invoices and submit for approval.

    • Educated in business related field (Bachelors degree).
    • Experienced (3-5+ years) in business/finance/accounting field; 1+ years leading teams or projects preferred.
    • Experienced in accounts payable.
    • Able to work in a fun, fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
    • Familiar with GAAP.
    • An excellent communicator, written and verbal.
    • Able to show significant initiative, tenacity, and leadership experience in prior job.
    • Analytical with an attention to detail and organized.
    • Able to drive processes into new technologies.
    • Passionate for seeing tasks through completion.
    • Knowledgeable of three-way PO match accounting principles.
