Who We’re Looking For (Position Overview):
Spry is seeking a Release Train Engineer (RTE) to join our contract with a government customer in Charleston, SC. The ideal candidate will facilitate the development of Agile processes, documentation, and ceremonies, while providing comprehensive project management support across various initiatives. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, senior managers, and financial managers to ensure successful project execution and adherence to Agile principles.
What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities):
- Facilitate the development and implementation of Agile processes and ceremonies.
- Provide comprehensive project management support across various initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, senior managers, and financial managers.
- Ensure successful project execution and adherence to Agile principles.
- Organize and lead key Agile ceremonies, including PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
- Manage and resolve dependencies between teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration.
- Monitor and report on project progress, including key metrics, risks, and impediments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Agile Release Train (ART).
- Foster a mutually supportive environment within Team Spry, ensuring open communication and collaboration to better support our customer and one another.
What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements):
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Agile project management, with at least 2 years as a Release Train Engineer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks (e.g., SAFe, Scrum, Kanban).
- Five or more years of experience as agile coach
- Knowledge of agile theory, and methodology- including scaling techniques, rules, and practices, estimating/sizing, planning, forecasting, reporting, conflict resolution and facilitation
- Ability to establish goals and objectives that support delivery execution for multiple teams, contribute to the direction of the function and provide advice to the team and delivery leadership
- Ability to lead, plan, execute and evaluate committed work activities to ensure completion of initiatives
- Skill in mentoring, performance management, and, using analytical software tools, data analysis methods, and reporting techniques
- Proficiency using computer applications including MS Office and industry-standard Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Experience in using scrum, kanban, and scaled agile framework (SAFe)
- Strong skills for leading, educating, and coaching
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
Ideally, You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):
- SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification preferred
- Experience with, SharePoint, ServiceNow, Microsoft Teams, Power BI
- Experience working with NIWC Atlantic or DoD environment
