Who We’re Looking For (Position Overview):
Spry is seeking a Training Operations Lead to join our team supporting a government contract in Washington, DC. In this role, you will oversee junior and mid-level trainers, guiding them in developing and implementing a diverse range of training activities tailored to the organization's size, goals, and nature. Trainers under your supervision may employ various methods, including on-the-job training, operating schools that replicate shop conditions, apprenticeship training, classroom training, electronic learning, multimedia programs, distance learning, satellite training, computer-aided instructional technologies, videos, simulators, conferences, and workshops. Key responsibilities include conducting and supervising training programs, planning and developing training initiatives, identifying and assessing training needs, organizing and directing training activities, consulting with onsite supervisors regarding performance improvement services, and functioning as case managers in government-supported training programs. We value logical thinking, analytical skills, and leadership to support both our customer and team effectively.

What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities):

    • Conducting and Supervising Training Programs: Oversee training and development programs for employees and external customers, ensuring they meet organizational needs.
    • Planning and Program Development: Identify and assess training needs through thorough research, and develop effective training programs to address these needs.
    • Skill Development and Productivity Enhancement: Aim to help employees develop new skills, enhance productivity, and improve the quality of work.
    • Preparation and Execution: Set up teaching materials and lesson plans prior to classes, engage participants during sessions, and issue completion certificates at the end.
    • Organizing and Directing Training Activities: Plan, organize, and direct a wide range of training activities to meet corporate and worker service requests.
    • Consultation and Performance Improvement: Consult with onsite supervisors regarding available performance improvement services and respond to training requests.
    • Case Management in Government Programs: Function as case managers in government-supported training programs, assessing clients' training needs and guiding them through the most appropriate training methods.

What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements):

    • Secret clearance
    • Bachelor's degree in any field.
    • 10 years of professional experience
    • Demonstrated experience training other training and development contractors to ensure their competency.
    • Supervisory skills to oversee other training and development contractors to ensure their satisfactory support.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Master's degree in any field
