Position Overview

As a Data Insights Developer at SpryPoint, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data reporting solutions, leveraging tools such as Metabase. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability for reporting and analytics purposes. This role is pivotal in driving data-driven decision-making and optimizing our clients' operations.

Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines to support reporting and analytics requirements.
    • Implement and manage reporting solutions using tools like Metabase, ensuring user-friendly dashboards and visualizations.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and deliver actionable insights through reports.
    • Perform data cleansing, transformation, and aggregation to prepare datasets for reporting purposes.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and reporting processes to ensure reliability and performance.
    • Work closely with team members to support data-driven decision-making initiatives.
    • Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering, reporting, and analytics.

Qualifications and Competencies

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. 
    • Relevant certifications in data management, database administration, or data analytics are a plus.
    • Hands-on experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, including database design, query optimization.
    • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers
    • Experience with data visualization tools like Metabase, Tableau, or Power BI.
    • Strong understanding of database design, data modeling, and ETL processes.
    • Experience with Python programming language is preferred, and some understanding of API development is considered a bonus
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
