What to expect:
This is an ongoing Senior Quality Source Inspector position, part-time/as needed up to and including full-time hours, with a flexible schedule. Inspection frequency is estimated at ~ 3 days a week.
You will be part of a global inspection team assuring the quality of components and assemblies that this global aerospace leader is sourcing from one or more suppliers in this area. Once on the team, you will be deployed through SQA’s operations center based on client needs and each supplier’s production schedule.
What you’ll do:
You will be conducting visual and dimensional inspections and paperwork verification of precision machined parts/ composite/ and electrical components at our client's supplier(s)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of precision machined parts and assemblies at client supplier locations.
- Verify paperwork to ensure all components meet required standards.
- Collaborate with a global team to maintain consistent quality across aerospace suppliers.
- Deploy to supplier locations based on production schedules and client needs.
Qualifications:
- - Min 5 years of hands-on inspection experience as part of a quality unit
- - Knowledge and hands-on experience working with various inspection tools and methods
- - Experience with COFC's, receiving inspections, and FAI inspections.
- - Experience inspecting precision machined parts
- - Ability to read complex engineering drawings (GD&T), and experience using various precision measuring tools. Must be able to read and interpret standard manufacturing drawings based on industry and commodity standards.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel. The right candidate will use clear communication to convey the inspection and scheduling status.
- Due to the nature of the products, US Citizenship is also a requirement, and background checks are required.
$30 - $35 an hour
Portal to portal rate for any travel time
Mileage reimbursement at US gov't rate. Untaxed.
