We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cable & Harness Inspector to support our team in Denton, TX. This is a part-time, first shift position, with a flexible schedule of 2–4 days per week on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cable and harness inspection, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Key Responsibilities
- Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections at one or more client suppliers in Denton, TX
- Ensure products meet quality and specification standards
- Verify safety wire orientation, correct turns, and pigtails as per specifications
- Confirm shipping documentation is legible and accurate (part number, serial number, etc.)
- Check documentation packages to industry standards and classify defects
- Interpret manufacturing drawings and identifying non-conformances
- Periodically verify accuracy and ensure productivity to meet production schedules
- Maintain equipment and keep the work area organized
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods
- Familiar with IPC-A-620 standards
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cable and Harness Inspector/Assembler in electronic manufacturing or related fields
- Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and identify wiring components
- Proficient in documenting Certificates of Conformance (COC)
- Strong organizational, communication, and software adaptation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified or previously certified in IPC-A-620
- Diploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school; college degree in engineering
- Knowledge of electronic contract manufacturing and LEAN manufacturing
- Preferred: 5 years of experience, with 2 years as a Cable and Harness Inspector
$30 - $33 an hour
50% hourly rate for any travel time ("p2p")
Mileage reimbursement at the US gov't rate ($0.70 per mile driven). Untaxed.
