In this role, you will provide legal advisory and representing STA in international jurisdiction, alongside ensuring that STA’s organization adheres to international by-laws and regulations
You will be responsible for
Leading the International Legal Affairs scope of activities and performance objectives while continuously monitoring progress and development towards organizational and department objectives
Overseeing implementation of policies and processes fulfilling all International Legal Affairs ion requirements in line with approved guidelines
Supervising operations and aligning work efforts to achieve high performance and meet established targets Legal Advisory and Stakeholder Management
Advising senior management and STA departments on international legal matters
Ensuring that international legal matters in STA are managed properly and efficiently, and that the relevant and respective stakeholders are shared and given proper advice and guidance
Managing relationships with external international legal firms/advisors, including overseeing vendor contracts
Overseeing legal analysis and research of current topics driven by the N4-level employees in collaboration with the Regulations sub-department Litigation
Ensuring progress of the litigation towards identified strategic goals within the International Legal Affairs Sub-Department as well as monitoring and evaluating the impact achieved
Participating in the representation of STA in legal proceedings, i.e., in international jurisdiction
Seeking the necessary approval from the Legal Advisory & Litigation Director for the final conflict resolution decisions in international contracts, provided by the responsible department
Collaborating with the Investigation team to assess the case at hand, identifying potential supporting evidence
Disclosing relevant documentation with all applicable parties during the legal proceedings Communications
Maintaining regular communication with national lawyers and other stakeholders
Maintaining regular, effective internal communications with the team in STA and ensure a strong collaborative work-ethic with the team, and especially within the International Legal Affairs Sub-Department
Managing and assisting subordinates in performing their functional operations in accordance with set policies and procedures
Setting sub-department performance objectives, providing the necessary support, evaluating/appraising the team, and providing regular feedback on performance
Contributing to the recruitment of key talent for International Legal Affairs Sub-Department
Guiding, mentoring, and developing the International Legal Affairs Sub-Department’s team as part of their continuous development
Promoting a high-performance working environment within the International Legal Affairs Sub-Department
Bachelor’s Degree in Law or equivalent, is preferred, including relevant specializations (e.g., Business Law), Master’s degree is a plus
At least 6 years of minimum experience, preferably in similar positions
Governmental and semi-governmental experience
Fluency in English and Arabic is a must
Excellent use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
