We’re working with a pre-seed, Toronto-based AI SaaS company backed by top early-stage investors (they’ve raised ~$3M to date). The founding team are repeat operators with deep product and startup experience, and they’re building a platform that turns conversations, emails, and notes into structured workflows — helping advisors eliminate admin and deliver personalization at scale. The product is live with early traction, and they’re now hiring a Fullstack Software Engineer to join their small, fast-moving team.
About the Role – Fullstack Software Engineer (50/50 split)
This is a true fullstack role: you’ll work across both the frontend and backend, owning feature development end-to-end. You’ll collaborate closely with product and design to build responsive, intuitive interfaces — and partner with fellow engineers to scale the backend that powers their AI-native workflows. You’ll have a major voice in how the platform evolves, with the opportunity to help shape the codebase, product experience, and engineering culture from the ground up.
What You’ll Tackle:
- Build core product features across both the backend and frontend
- Work with React, TypeScript, and GraphQL to develop clean, performant UIs
- Contribute to backend infrastructure in Ruby on Rails, powering LLM workflows
- Integrate with tools like Zoom, Gmail, and Salesforce
- Collaborate with a tight-knit team on fast-paced shipping and iteration
- Help define internal standards and influence technical direction
What You'll Bring:
- 4–6 years of experience building fullstack web apps
- Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and GraphQL
- Working knowledge of Rails (or interest in getting deep)
- Appreciation for clean UI, strong UX instincts, and component architecture
- Interest in building AI-native products and shipping early-stage software
- Someone collaborative, curious, and excited to move fast in a high-trust environment
- Nice to Have: GCP experience, LLM integration work, or prior SaaS product exposure
Why You’ll Want to Join:
- Founding team with deep product and startup experience
- High ownership: shape both product and codebase from day one
- Real-world AI use case, already gaining market traction
- Backed by respected early-stage investors
- Competitive compensation + equity
$150,000 - $200,000 a year
Compensation is salary range above + meaningful equity in an early-stage venture-backed startup, commensurate with level of experience.
