We are seeking an Executive Assistant to support our development (fundraising) team. The Stand Together development team brings together top business leaders to solve our country’s biggest problems through financial and strategic leadership of our most cutting-edge programs and investments. Likewise, Stand Together’s high-performing major gifts program helps hundreds of donor partners actively participate in the programs they support, advancing our shared priorities through robust, year-round engagement.

In this role, you will connect task management to organizational priorities with a high degree of confidentiality, a sense of urgency, and customer focus. The development team is a fast-paced, collaborative group with a reliance on effective calendaring and meeting management. To be successful in this role, you will take pride in identifying and anticipating business needs, recognizing that success is determined by intentionality and your ability to execute with excellence. How You Will Contribute

    • Calendar management. Prioritize a high volume of inquiries and requests while troubleshooting conflicts with a high level of attention to detail. Partner with other assistants to calendar meetings effectively and efficiently. Make recommendations grounded in strategic priorities to ensure smooth day-to-day engagements.
    • General administrative support. Process invoice payments, reconcile receipts and expense reports on behalf of your leader, and book and coordinate travel, itineraries, and logistics.
    • Identify areas to increase efficiency and innovate to improve administrative processes. Keep an eye out for opportunities to help the administrative team support the organization’s goals more effectively. Identify and learn new tools and techniques to elevate the level of support and partnership the team gives.
    • The role will be based in-person in the Ballston, VA office.

What You Will Bring

    • 5+ years of professional experience.
    • Experience in a high-volume scheduling environment strongly preferred.
    • Astute attention to detail and a drive to take initiative.
    • Professional manner and strong interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal.
    • Excellent organizational skills with sharp attention to detail and the ability to think ahead, problem solve, engage proactively, and take initiative.
    • A collaborative approach to work; give and receive feedback respectfully.
    • Ability to think strategically about the leader's time as an allocation of resources.
    • Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, sense of judgment, and ability to improvise and creatively problem-solve while maintaining composure.
    • Ability to provide articulate and concise oral and written communications.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook (including expertise with Outlook’s calendar function), and PowerPoint.
