About the role:

As a Frontend Engineer you will work with the founders, alongside other software engineers. You will be responsible for the prototyping, designing, and developing new features, enhancement to the UI/UX, and optimizing the product.

Besides working on the codebase, you will play a key role in product direction and setting up the right processes to help the product scale. You are someone who is deeply passionate about UI, UX, and product design and want to develop a career specialized in the frontend.  

While this is an engineering role, the ideal candidate is part product designer, part engineer, and obsesses over the details.
This is a full-time, remote position.
The job will occasionally require overlap on the 8-11am range Pacific Time, in order to attend meetings with the Team based in San Francisco.

What you will do:

    • Create beautiful, functional, and intuitive features and product experiences for Dropbase users
    • Wireframing, prototyping, designing, and implementing features and translating designs into high-quality code
    • Design, test, deploy and maintain codebase
    • Scope, design, and lead projects, laying the groundwork for early-stage products to iteratively evolve and scale
    • Develop and implement highly-responsive, secure, reliable, and extensible UI components
    • Improve frontend tech stack to dramatically reduce load times and bundle size
    • Debug production issues across services and improving maintainability over the long term
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across the company including engineering, product, operations, finance, and sales
    • Review application requirements and interface designs
    • Troubleshooting interface software and debugging application code
    • Monitoring and improving front-end performance

What makes you a good fit:

    • Exceptional eye/taste for design and UX
    • Proficient with JavaScript, React/Redux, CSS
    • Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
    • You write clean, testable and maintainable code
    • Ability to readily learn most technologies on-the-go
    • Ability to thrive in an fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy
    • Verbal and written English fluency

Nice to have:

    • Experience with AWS Infrastructure, CI/CD tools, version control
    • Experience with Jest or Puppeteer
    • Experience in frontend benchmarking and optimization
