Role: Sr. Software Engineer (backend focused, full stack preferred -- Kotlin / Java using Spring Boot)

Location: Seattle, WA (hybrid)
Seeking senior-level engineers with experience in Kotlin or Java using Spring Boot OR Javascript or TypeScript using React on Node, in Seattle or open to relo to Seattle.

Responsibilities
- Be part of a fast moving agile team, delivering products in a continuous delivery environment
- Work with other senior engineers to continually drive for simplification of the technology landscape
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and marketing, to execute the product roadmap
- Perform maintenance and optimization of existing systems, ensuring scalability, security, and performance
- Perform code reviews, mentor other engineers, perform incident retrospectives, and participate in a culture of shared learning
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to inform decision-making and technology adoption
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development
- Fullstack experience, with emphasis on backend product engineering highly preferred
- Strong technical skills in modern programming languages and frameworks including: Kotlin or Java using Spring Boot OR Javascript or TypeScript using React on Node
- Experience with both relational and non-relational databases; especially document databases like MongoDB and SQL based databases like PostgreSQL
- Understanding of cloud technologies and architectures
- Familiarity with service oriented architectures, microservices, and APIs
- Experience in building scalable, high-availability systems, with a focus on simplicity and security
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- This is a full-time permanent position based in Seattle, WA
