Role Overview: 
As the Tech Lead at Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E), you will be instrumental in driving technological advancements in electric power generation. Leveraging your expertise in SAP's Field Service Module (FSM) and electric power generation, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing systems and processes to ensure the reliable and efficient delivery of electricity to our customers.

Responsibilities:

    • Lead the strategic planning and execution of technology initiatives within the electric power generation domain.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and implement solutions, with a particular focus on SAP's Field Service Module (FSM) for electric operations.
    • Oversee the configuration, customization, and integration of technology systems to support electric power generation processes, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
    • Partner with vendors and external stakeholders to evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
    • Analyze data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and drive informed decision-making.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to technology systems and electric power generation operations.
    • Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to maintain a robust control environment and mitigate risks associated with technology systems.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a focus on electric power generation or related industries.
    • Extensive experience with SAP's Field Service Module (FSM), including implementation, customization, and optimization for electric operations.
    • Proficiency in other relevant technology platforms and systems used in electric power generation, such as SCADA and asset management systems.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
    • Proven track record of driving technology-driven initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
    • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on results and continuous improvement.
    • Willingness to travel to Oakland for team meetings, with the flexibility for remote work arrangements based on business needs.
