COMPANY OVERVIEW:
Skybound Entertainment is a multi-platform entertainment company best known for the long-running series, The Walking Dead. In 2003, Robert Kirkman (creator of Walking Dead) and David Alpert (Producer & CEO of Skybound) set out to do the impossible –create a television series for The Walking Dead while maintaining all control over the IP and derivative works.
 
Since founding Skybound in 2010, they have now developed over 60 creators developing brands / properties with assets across comics, gaming, television, film, digital, and virtual reality. The goal is to build an engine that can replicate the success of The Walking Dead by bringing phenomenal content to fans while ensuring creators maintain control. 


THE OPPORTUNITY:
As a member of the People team overseeing Facilities Operations, this position will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our offices in West Los Angeles offices and ensure that our workplace always adhere to the highest standards, and that the needs of every team at Skybound are constantly met. 
 
The ideal candidate has deep experience managing facilities at largescale and is an expert at all requisite components of this job - from project management, administrative operations, to maintenance, emergency preparedness, and ongoing cost optimization.
 
The Facilities Operations Manager works collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders to enhance the many aspects of our workplace environment. This position also works closely with the senior leaders of our finance, people and operations teams in order to provide accurate and essential visibility to the financial impacts of every aspect of our facilities. The ideal candidate works well under pressure, maintains calm despite competing exigencies, and has a demonstrated track of leadership excellence.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • OPERATIONS:
    • Review and pre-approve expense reports according to company policy.
    • Update monthly flash reports for Director of Finance & Strategic Planning, including salary tracking and office-related costs.
    • Point on communication between Skybound and Momentous Insurance for setup, claims, certificates, etc.
    • Facilitate business ramp-up for corporate and production purposes o Open bank accounts
    • Create new entities in TriNet.
    • Oversee internship program.
    • Maintain company documents (staff directory, floor plan, org charts).
    • Coordinate per diem requests and distribute checks for all conventions.
    • Organize company philanthropy.
    • FACILITIES:

    • PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:  
    • Oversee a team of 4: Receptionist, Administrative Floaters and Valet. 

REQUIREMENTS:

    • EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in business, facilities management, engineering, construction management, or another related area of study.
    • EXPERIENCE:5+ years professional experience in facilities or other relevant experience accepted.
    • Deep expertise in managing facilities with a proven track record of driving efficiency and reducing cost in all areas of facilities management - including utility management and monitoring systems, maintenance optimization, etc.
    • A well-rounded businessperson who partners effectively, delivers consistently, and earns respect from the full range of personnel - from Contract Workers to Senior Leadership.
    • Strong organizational and administrative skills with the innate ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at a time.
    • Skilled with Trinet, Google Suite, Microsoft Suite and their equivalents.
