THE DEPARTMENT: IT Meter to Cash Application Development
The IT Meter to Cash Application Development team is responsible for the software
development and implementation of new functionalities within the Customer Care and Billing
(CC&B) system and its Direct Interfaces. This team collaborates closely with the IT business
analyst team to ensure the delivery of top-quality products and services, maintaining a seamless
customer experience and efficient billing operations.


THE POSITION: Expert IT Business Analyst
PG&E is seeking an Expert Level IT Business Analyst to join their Customer Information team.
This role requires a quick learner who is thorough, organized, and adaptable to fast-paced and
dynamic environments. The ideal candidate will analyze business requirements, develop
functional requirement documents, and analyze project defects to determine their impact,
providing recommendations for solutions.

Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with business organizations to assess the feasibility of enhancements.
    • Identify opportunities for system enhancements using business process knowledge.
    • Evaluate and provide input on business needs and requirements.
    • Prepare estimates for customer requests.
    • Develop preliminary mockups and designs.
    • Assemble and analyze functional/non-functional requirements.
    • Provide technical expertise in designing, testing, and developing applications.
    • Conduct feasibility analysis, design, and provide recommendations on alternative solutions, project strategy, and deliverable prioritization.
    • Prepare final functional requirement and design documents.
    • Conduct walkthroughs of deliverables with business and IT stakeholders to obtain approval/signoff.
    • Offer Subject Matter Expert support to developers and testers.
    • Document and analyze project change controls with the business.
    • Support stabilization of deployed code.
    • Troubleshoot potential system issues to identify defects.
    • Analyze production defects, identify business and system impacts, and quantify problems.
    • Contribute to defect troubleshooting and solution design.
    • Assist business and technical teams with ad hoc requests.
    • Provide functional expertise to clients for resolving business issues.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a job-related discipline, or equivalent experience.
    • 7 years of experience in analyzing, designing, and developing functional requirements, functional design, UX/UI design.
    • Experience with the CC&B Application.
    • Working knowledge of relational databases (SQL experience).
    • Ability to work independently within a team framework.
    • Strong team collaboration skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Understanding of database/schema architecture.
    • Experience in the utility industry is desirable.
$125,000 - $155,000 a year
Relocation packages offered for candidates open to relocating to the San Francisco Bay area.
