SteerBridge Strategies, LLC is seeking an experienced Program Assurance and Quality Specialist (PAQS) to support Modern Disability Claims program for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA). The PAQS will serve as a key quality reviewer, applying deep expertise in VA claims processing to evaluate the accuracy and integrity of automated adjudication outcomes. Responsibilities include reviewing system-generated decisions to ensure they align with VA policies, regulations, and adjudication standards. The PAQS will assess evidence triage processes, flag anomalies, and support the refinement of automation logic to confirm that systems operate as intended. Central to this role is ensuring that the correct outcome is delivered to the government and, ultimately, to the Veteran—upholding performance metrics, compliance, and timely access to earned benefits.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Adjudication Quality Review: Evaluate automated claims adjudication outcomes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with VA policies, regulations, and adjudication standards.
- Process Mapping & Workflow Alignment: Develop and maintain process maps and data workflows to ensure claims automation reflects current VA procedures and supports accurate, standards-based outcomes.
- Systems Integration & Logic Validation: Collaborate with IT and data teams to translate VA claims development procedures into automated logic. Validate outputs against established adjudication rules to ensure reliable and compliant automation.
- Evidence & Decision Analysis: Review medical records, service documentation, and prior rating decisions to assess system behavior, support ACE determinations, and inform appropriate development or proposed approval/denial actions.
- Automation Logic & Documentation Support: Assist in shaping the structure and content of digital claims documentation to ensure it supports accurate downstream adjudication, quality assurance, and appeals processing.
- Policy Monitoring & Compliance Updates: Track legislative and VA policy changes to ensure automated systems and business rules remain current and compliant.
- Training & SME Engagement: Deliver training and guidance to cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring alignment with VA benefits policy, claims protocols, and quality standards.
- Confidentiality & Data Integrity: Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure the secure handling of sensitive Veteran data in accordance with VA privacy and cybersecurity requirements.
$145,000 - $155,000 a year
A salary commensurate with experience will be offered.
