SteerBridge seeks a Healthcare Facility Policy, SOP, and Compliance Support Specialist to assist VA Facilities Management leadership in developing and managing policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives critical to safe and effective healthcare facility operations. This role involves close coordination with engineering staff, operations teams, and regulatory standards to ensure full alignment between facility practice and policy.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be eligible and able to pass a federal background check and complete requirements for a VA Personal Identity Verification (PIV) badge.
- Must have demonstrated experience in healthcare facility operations and working knowledge of regulatory standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field strongly preferred.
- Operational knowledge of healthcare facility requirements, with experience reviewing and creating policies and SOPs.
- Strong familiarity with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, VA, The Joint Commission (TJC), and related regulatory frameworks.
- Experience conducting procedural and systems analysis across multiple operational domains such as utility plants, USTs, refrigerants, water safety, confined space, hot work, and snow removal.
- Proven ability to support compliance tasks, including Lockout/Tagout, TJC Life Safety, and Environment of Care standards.
- Capable of researching and analyzing existing systems and developing compliant programs through coordination with staff, vendors, and technical stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting, editing, and presenting formal policy and procedural documents.
- Strong organizational and cross-functional coordination skills in a healthcare setting.
- Support VA Facilities Management in the review, development, and management of internal policies, SOPs, and compliance activities.
- Conduct regulatory research and facility assessments to ensure operational procedures are in alignment with current codes and standards.
- Evaluate and codify operational methods across multiple facility domains and disciplines.
- Assist in the development of compliant procedures for key programs such as Lockout/Tagout, confined space entry, and utility system operations.
- Support The Joint Commission (TJC) Life Safety and Environment of Care compliance evaluations through physical inspections, documentation review, and compliance planning.
- Develop written reports, policy documents, summary presentations, and recommendations to leadership based on findings.
- Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and healthcare staff as needed to complete project tasks.

$90,000 - $110,000 a year
A salary commensurate with experience will be offered.
