As a Data Engineer, you’ll work closely with architects, analysts, and scientists to create high-performance data pipelines and workflows. Your work will enable secure, real-time, and batch data processing in a fast-paced, cloud-native environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data
- Use modern tools such as dbt, Informatica, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks
- Write efficient SQL queries and Python/JavaScript scripts for data ingestion, transformation, and cleanup
- Conduct data profiling, validation, and quality checks across multiple sources
- Integrate and process data in cloud platforms like AWS S3 or Azure Blob Storage
- Collaborate across data science, DevOps, and business teams to deliver usable, governed data products
- Maintain technical documentation for data pipelines and infrastructure
- Support secure data governance and optimize performance across cloud data environments
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a government security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in data engineering or pipeline development
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and cloud environments like Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Experience with ETL tools/frameworks such as dbt, Informatica, or Apache Airflow
- Experience with modern cloud data warehouses like Snowflake or Amazon Redshift
- Familiarity with orchestration tools like Apache Spark or Airflow
- Understanding of compliance/security frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, CCPA, NIST)
- Strong data modeling and ability to translate requirements into scalable solutions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments

Must be local to the Washington, D.C. metro area and able to work on-site in Vienna, VA (5 days/week)
