Position Overview:  An Instructional Coach is a school-level position that focuses on growing academic results for students by coaching and developing teachers. Instructional coaches are responsible for crafting professional development, coaching teachers at least once a week, providing feedback on all aspects of the curriculum, and growing strong relationships with students and teachers in order to promote academic success.
 
Qualifications:
.Bachelor’s degree in education or related field+3 to 5 years as outstanding performance as a lead teacher, supporting student outcomes that exceed district and state performance
.Demonstrated commitment to Anti Racism, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging
.Experience as a teacher leader, department leader, or equivalent experience leading and collaborating with adults
.Feels confident, compelled and proactive in creating, monitoring and evaluating action plans 
.Proven track record of family and community collaborations that drive strong student outcomes and results

Preferred Qualifications:
.Track record of personal DEI development and growth as well as equity-based coaching philosophy. 
.At least three years of impactful instructional coaching experience with the data to prove it.
.Demonstrated results in coaching adult learners and practitioners to meet individual and collective performance targets that exceed district and state performance. A professional development rockstar.
.Experience designing, facilitating, and evaluating adult learning and professional development that drives school improvement and cultivates a culture of learning, growth, and joy. 
.All in attitude.

Responsibilities

    • Responsibilities:
    • Instructional Planning
    • In partnership with the Principals and Network Academic Team, develop and facilitate the school’s model and strategy for academic growth and different pathways for students.
    • Support curricula adaptation and augmentation to ensure students have equitable access to rigorous grade level content and master both discipline and language knowledge and skill objectives.
    • In alignment with our DEI priorities and aim of becoming an anti-racist institution, lead critical assessment of curricula and standards at all levels. 
    • Instructional Coaching
    • All student and teacher outcomes for your caseload.
    • Directly coach all subject area teachers on high-quality instruction to ensure all students are achieving mastery and growth goals, exceeding the performance of peers nationally and locally.
    • Design, facilitate, and evaluate the outcomes of staff professional development. 
    • Observe and model exemplary instruction. 
    • Administrative Responsibilities
    • Submit weekly performance reports and other analyses to the Principals and team. 
    • In alignment with the school’s philosophy of education, facilitate and support family and parent communications to include quarterly academic parent academy workshops. 
    • Perform quarterly evaluations of direct reports and other staff members as assigned.
    • Other duties as assigned.
