About the role
We’re looking for a dynamic Senior People Operations Specialist as part of the People Operations team working across your European office locations. In this role you will be involved in all People operational touch points throughout the employee life cycle from the moment we want to hire a new team member to the moment they leave and everything in between. 
You will be operationalizing People programs, ensuring compliance with HR standards and regulations, impacting policy & program development, being responsible for Data integrity in our HRIS, Payroll accuracy, and providing employee service excellence.

Your daily adventure at Storio:

    • Ensure accurate processing of and manage People related documents and data via our HRIS, including onboarding, offboarding, absence management, payroll input , and Compensation & Benefits plans administration
    • Act as a first point of contact for operational People related questions and requests from employees and People vendor inquiries
    • Ensure company wide compliance with standard People practices, laws, and regulations for all People Operational topics & processes
    • Ensure data integrity in our HRIS, maintain employee privacy, and manage the completeness of employee files
    • Coordinate the monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, including data management & employment document management for new hires, departures, job changes, Compensation & Benefits, work permits, and expatriate packages
    • Contribute to the execution of cyclical People processes such as performance and pay reviews, company bonus calculations, benefits plans renewals from an operational point of view
    • Continuously improve, innovate and automate People operational processes and procedures to enhance efficiency.

How you make your mark:

    • Develop, update, and implement People (operational) policies and procedures in compliance with HR best practices, laws, and regulations.
    • Collaborate closely with People Partners to ensure a smooth timely handling of all requests by the appropriate stakeholders.
    • Maintain and continuously update & improve the Employee Self Service Knowledge Section of the company intranet regarding People related topics 
    • Contribute to  and/or implement key People projects, demonstrating ownership and accountability.
    • Build close partnerships with other key stakeholders outside of the People Team, such as Finance, Facilities, IT to ensure smooth handovers to provide a first class employee experience.

What you bring to the party:

    • Demonstrable experience in a similar role or senior People Operations Specialist role in a professional business environment of minimum 3 years.
    • Experience with WorkDay HCM and Google Suite, Proficiency in Payroll basics
    • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
    • Must demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, accuracy and have a service mindset
    • Enthusiastic attitude, proactive approach, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively in a team.
    • Fluent in English.

Extra Kudos for Experience:

    • Experience with Workday additional modules
    • Knowledge of local employment law, tax, social security, absenteeism, and occupational health regulations in the Netherlands.  Spain, France and/or Germany knowledge is a bonus
    • Business level proficiency in Spanish, German or French
