As Shift Lead, you are responsible for managing the production process within the plant in The Hague during your shift (You will work 2 or 3 shifts, depending on the season). You will ensure that production targets are met, quality standards are guaranteed and the production floor functions efficiently and effectively.You directly manage 4 Cell Leads and are responsible for tasks such as absence supervision, coaching and annual evaluations. Indirectly, you are responsible for 50 to 100 operators. You will report to the production manager.
Key responsibilities:
- Safety: You put the safety of our employees first and ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
- Leadership: You lead the Cell leads, including absence supervision and development and performance interviews. You coach and motivate your team of Cell leads to get the best out of themselves.
- Collaboration: You work closely with other departments, such as the technical service department, quality and logistics, to achieve common goals
- Cooperation: You work closely with other departments, such as the technical service department, quality and logistics, to achieve common goals.
- Quality: You ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards.
- Continuous improvement: No improvement without standard. You follow our management system and daily standards. Proposes improvements based on observations, production data and implements them to make our processes more efficient.
Qualifications:
- ~ 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a managerial role.
- You can prioritise well under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
- Analytically strong and able to solve complex problems.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
- A hands-on mentality and a passion for optimising processes.
The plant in Ypenburg is part of the Storio Group, known in the Netherlands under the brand name albelli. Depending on the season, 130 to 300 employees work there. The factory produces various photo products, such as photo books, wall decorations, cards and mugs.
