About the role:
As QHSE Manager (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) Manager at Storio group's plant in The Hague, you will play a pivotal role in implementing our Storio group policies. You will ensure a continuous focus on quality across the entire organization, driving continuous improvement at the management level, and managing change effectively. You will oversee the implementation of our Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with industry standards and fostering a culture of excellence. This role is central to maintaining our commitment to safety, health, environment, and quality, ensuring that our operations meet the highest standards of performance and sustainability.

Your daily adventure at Storio:

    • Quality Policy and Continuous Improvement:
    • Ensure the local organization continuously focuses on the Storio group quality policy.
    • Demonstrate continuous improvement in main focus areas at the MT level.
    • Managing change within local operations providing effective planning, delegation & communication.
    • Lead the integration, implementation and maintenance  of the Storio group QMS within local operations.
    • Work with the central Storio group functions to develop and improve the Storio group QMS.

    • Quality Assurance and Control
    • Continually perform and improve data analyses; establish training courses and structures.
    • Revise and optimize (departmental) processes, including those involving external organizations.
    • Set up, activate, and implement management tools for quality aligned with Storio group objectives.
    • Initiate and follow up on actions to comply with legislation, including NEN 3140 and environmental regulations.
    • Facilitate and support active multidisciplinary improvement teams.
    • Efficiently and effectively set up Risk Inventories and Evaluations (RI&Es) to improve safety and working conditions.

    • Occupational Health and safety
    • Implement OHS policy: Create, maintain, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal regulations and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions to minimize workplace injuries and accidents.
    • Organize and deliver safety training programs for employees to promote a culture of safety awareness and ensure proper understanding of safety practices.
    • Lead investigations into workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
    • Continuously monitor safety performance, conduct regular audits, and ensure the workplace adheres to all relevant OHS laws, regulations, and standards. 

    • Team Leadership
    • Foster an optimal climate for cooperation within the team.
    • Monitor the implementation and progress of initiatives and projects.
    • Work together with central Storio group functions and related production sites Quality functions

    • Achieve continuous improvement in quality and QHSE-related processes.
    • Achieve integration, implementation and maintenance of the Storio group management systems for quality & safety within local operations.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and improve safety and working conditions.
    • Foster a cooperative and efficient team environment.

What you bring to the party:

    • Proven experience in QHSE management or a similar role.
    • Strong understanding of ISO or comparable standards; -ISO 9001:2015 -ISO 14001:2015 - ISO 45001:2018.
    • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, including NEN 3140 and environmental regulations.
    • Effective change management skills and experience in cultural conditioning.
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Project management experience inclusive of tools e.g. Gantt Chart, Critical Path analysis, Action Plan
    • Lead auditor Qualification.
