About the role
Our Data & ML team powers growth and innovation at Storio. We're building platforms that turn data into insights, helping our teams make great decisions and create personalized experiences for customers. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you'll join our new Domain Platform Engineering sub-team. You'll build technology platforms that make it easier for our data and AI engineers to deliver with higher quality.
How you embrace curiosity daily
- You'll build platform enablers that accelerate value delivery and reduce cognitive load.
- You'll implement automation for provisioning, deployment, and scaling to minimise errors.
- You'll establish consistent environments and processes across our data and AI teams.
- You'll improve developer experience with tools for data governance and DevOps.
- You'll mentor other engineers on best practices and help them adopt your team’s initiatives.
- You'll champion security and compliance by embedding them into the platform.

- You'll build platforms that promote our decentralized-by-design data strategy.
- You'll ensure our engineers can focus on their expertise, like data modeling and building AI models.
- You'll reduce manual actions by having an automation-first mindset.
What you bring to the team
- Extensive experience in platform engineering, including designing and building robust components.
- A deep understanding of automation principles.
- Experience with software development lifecycle best practices, including Git and CI/CD.
- Experience with tools for data governance, quality monitoring, and security.
- The ability to build maintainable, well-documented code.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience mentoring and coaching engineers.
