About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Product & Technology Operations Lead to drive operational excellence and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation. In this role, you will be responsible for building and optimising standardised processes, tools, and frameworks that enable teams to deliver value at scale and maximise return on investment. You will work cross-functionally with product managers, engineering, design, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations, foster alignment, and enable data-driven decision-making.
Your Daily Adventure at Storio
- Develop, implement and refine processes and cadences to enable an effective P&T organisation, including but not limited to: demand intake and assessment, quarterly planning, quarterly business reviews, budget reviews. Optimise and evolve approaches in line with the needs of the organisation.
- Manage the master roadmap and jira backlog for Product & Technology, covering all domains, P&T-impacting OKRs and initiatives. Work in conjunction with Agile Delivery Managers to ensure this is an up-to-date and single source of truth.
- Organise and run the Quarterly Planning Event, collaborating with OKR owners, initiative owners, agile delivery managers and product teams to ensure the effective prioritisation, assessment and planning of work across all domains. Communicate planning outcomes.
- Monitor and mitigate risks related to product delivery, prioritisation, and resource allocation, providing timely recommendations on appropriate courses of action.
- Establish a framework to report on Delivery Health (planned vs unplanned, planned vs delivered, utilisation by work type, throughput, value, return on investment), working closely with teams, Agile Delivery Managers and FP&A.
- Gather Product team requirements for product performance data (product health metrics, funnels, CSAT feedback etc). Collaborate with CRO, UX Research, Customer Insights and Data teams to ensure every Product team has timely, accurate and actionable insight. Establish processes and cadences to review and act on insights.
- Gather Product team requirements for operational metrics (DORA, incidents, platform health, delivery flow metrics). Establish tools, processes and cadences to collate and review this data and act on insights.
- Evaluate, implement, and manage product management tools and platforms to streamline workflows (e.g., Jira, Confluence). Drive adoption and effective usage of tools across teams, ensuring they align with organisational needs.
- Standardise tools and templates to support product development and delivery. Create documentation, training materials, onboarding programmes, and knowledge-sharing resources to upskill teams and drive standardisation and best practice.
- Coordinate P&T All Hands events, ensuring this is a relevant and informative session to communicate news and updates, and celebrate success.
What You Bring to the Party
- Operational Expertise: Strong understanding of product development lifecycles and agile methodologies. Expertise in process optimization, scaling operations, and removing inefficiencies.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in creating and interpreting dashboards, KPIs, and metrics to inform strategy. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to draw insights from complex datasets.
- Tool Proficiency: Hands-on experience with product management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Miro, Aha!). Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Google Analytics).
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams. Skilled at presenting plans and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Leadership & Influence: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
Experience and Attributes we'd like to see
- 5+ years of experience in product operations, product management, program management, project management office or a related role.
- Proven track record of optimizing processes and driving operational improvements within a product organisation.
- Experience working in cross-functional, fast-paced and agile environments.
Nice to have Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, product management, operations, or a related field (preferred).
- Preferred Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Agilist, or similar Agile certifications.
