We are looking for an experienced and innovative Head of Paid Social & Display to join our team. The ideal candidate is a senior marketing leader with an international background, a track-record in developing world-class paid social and display teams and programs in a fast-paced eCommerce environment.
The successful candidate will lead and develop a team of paid social & display professionals based between Amsterdam and Barcelona, driving performance, fostering continuous improvement, and instilling a high-performance culture.

Primary Responsibilities

    • Define and coordinate the execution of the paid social & display strategy for all group brands and websites.
    • Oversee the development and implementation of all paid social & display campaigns, ensuring they are optimised for performance and return on investment.
    • Achieve ambitious growth targets by strongly collaborating with our Commercial and Analytics teams and by leveraging the in-house Marketing Technology team and our third party tool Smartly;
    • Grow acquisition and retention metrics across social media channels based on insights/trends and testing at scale that translate into increased revenue for the group
    • Build strong partnership with main AdNetworks (FB, Google, Microsoft, Pinterest, Tik Tok) through strategical Joined Business Plans.
    • Collaborate with the Creative team to ensure assets briefs lead to creative excellence and contribute to campaign success.
    • Effectively manage stakeholders across the organisation, building strong relationships with functional marketing teams, Commercial teams, and Analytics teams.
    • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact the team's ability to meet strategic and financial goals.
    • Enable individual growth and success for direct reports and develop a cohesive, high-performance culture in the team and motivate accordingly to achieve performance objectives.
    • Set and report on quarterly and yearly basis paid social & display performance targets and ensure that campaigns are run within the given budgets and efficiency ceilings.
    • Forecasting responsibility.
    • Have high attention to detail, KPIs, day-to-day performance, and flawless execution.

Impact and Contributions

    • You will define and coordinate the execution of the paid social & display strategy for all group brands and websites whilst overseeing the development and implementation of all paid social & display campaigns, ensuring they are optimised for performance and return on investment.

Experience and Attributes we'd like to see

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing, business, or related field.
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in paid social marketing, with a proven track record of driving successful campaigns.
    • High attention to detail and curious with strong analytical background with evidence of making data driven decisions.
    • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing a team of Display & Paid Social professionals.
    • Experience of managing multi-million budgets.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle ambiguity.
    • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyse campaign data and identify trends and insights.
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and external partners.
    • In-depth knowledge of Facebook Ads Manager (web and app campaigns), TikTok Business Center, Pinterest Ads Manager, Google Ads
    • Strong understanding of the customer journey & sales funnel (from awareness to conversion) and how to leverage this to drive overall business goals
    • Experience in testing incrementality and knowing about measurement & attribution topics, especially with exposure to view-through attribution, is a plusExperienced with Smartly
    • Familiarity with web analytics tools, such as Adobe Analytics.
    • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
    • Experience with OKR frameworks is a plus
    • Experience working across multiple brands is advantageous 
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, fluent in English (Dutch/Spanish not required)and last, but not least: an open-minded, friendly individual who shares our values when it comes to tolerance, diversity, and purpose
