Role overview:
We have a loyal base of existing customers, but we also recognise the huge importance to acquire and retain a new group of customers to realise our growth ambitions. In order to supercharge our growth we will therefore launch a new market-leading App later this year where we aim to wow a new generation of customers to create products that hold lasting memories for themselves and loved ones alike.

Primary Responsibilities:

    • Product Positioning and Messaging: Define the positioning, messaging, and value proposition for our apps to effectively communicate their benefits and unique selling points to target audiences.
    • Develop App Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention for our mobile applications.
    • Go-to-Market Planning: Lead the go-to-market planning process for new app launches and major updates, including defining launch timelines, coordinating cross-functional efforts, and developing marketing assets and collateral.
    • User Persona Development to develop the proposition and app positioning: Identify and understand target user segments for our apps, including their needs, preferences, and pain points. Develop detailed user personas to inform marketing strategies and initiatives.
    • User Acquisition: Collaborate with Central Marketing and local teams to plan and implement user acquisition strategies across various channels, including paid advertising, app store optimization (ASO), influencer partnerships, and social media marketing.
    • Campaign Management: Work alongside our central and local teams to plan and execute multi-channel app-specific marketing campaigns to promote app downloads, features, and updates. Manage campaign budgets, work with our Studio to create  assets, and drive performance tracking to maximise ROI as well as gather learnings for future campaigns.
    • Email and Push Notification Marketing: Work with cross-functional teams to align on the development and execution of email marketing and push notification campaigns to engage and retain app users.
    • Partnerships: Work alongside our Partnerships team to identify new partnership opportunities to help drive awareness and engagement with the App proposition to their audiences to drive user acquisition and retention.
    • Social Media Marketing: Work with our Social teams to develop and manage social media marketing strategies to promote the Apps, engage with users, and build brand awareness. Create compelling content and manage social media channels to drive app downloads and engagement.
    • Performance Tracking, Analysis and Optimisation: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to app usage, marketing campaigns, engagement, retention, and monetization. Analyze data and insights to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization, as well as using data-driven insights to iterate on marketing strategies and improve user acquisition and retention efforts.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including App Product, Central Marketing, Commercial and Merchandising to align marketing efforts with product features, research, updates, and user feedback.
    • Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the mobile app space. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.

Impact and Contributions

    • As the Product Marketing Manager for the new App, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and engagement with the product, and will be responsible for developing and executing product marketing strategies that span our markets to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention. You will also play a crucial role in driving the success of our App through working with our central and local commercial and marketing teams to drive innovative app-specific marketing campaigns, as well as strategic partnerships, and data-driven optimization efforts.

Experience and Attributes we’d like to see:

    • We would love to hear from technology-obsessed customer first marketeers with a strong background in App marketing. Industry is not important, but in an ideal world you will love our products and have strong ideas about how we can translate beautiful products into strong customer-first app product marketing strategies and campaigns to grow a loyal app base of customers across Europe.
    • We also need someone who is highly agile and able to work in a fast paced environment to deliver change. 
    • Most importantly though we are looking for a real team player and someone who is a pleasure to work with. We are building a great team here and want someone who will fit in seamlessly with the team and wider business.
    • Ideally several years of experience in mobile app marketing or digital marketing roles with a strong track record of delivery. 
    • Proven track record of championing and actioning change, with demonstrable skills in driving user acquisition and engagement for mobile applications.
    • Deep understanding of mobile app marketing channels, including paid advertising, ASO, influencer marketing, and social media.
    • Experience with app analytics platforms and attribution tools.
    • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Creative thinker with a passion for mobile technology and digital marketing innovation with experience of innate understanding how to market an app in relation to a multi-platform and device ecosystem.
