About the role
We are looking for a passionate Principal iOS Engineer to join our Browse & Manage (App) team, which operates from both Amsterdam and London. This central team is responsible for the storefront, product discovery, and account management experiences across all of our native mobile applications. In this role, you'll be key to setting the technical direction for our iOS platform. You will guide architectural decisions, champion engineering excellence, and help improve the entire mobile platform to help customers find the right products for their moments.

- You'll define and own the iOS technical roadmap and target architecture.
- You'll design and deliver scalable, maintainable, and performant iOS features.
- You'll make critical architectural decisions that will shape our mobile platform.
- You'll represent the iOS perspective in product discovery and cross-team planning.
- You'll monitor and improve the codebase's health and manage technical debt.
- You'll collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering Managers to determine technical feasibility.
- You'll lead knowledge sharing and support the technical growth of iOS engineers.

- You'll collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across Product, Design, Platform, and Backend.
What you bring to the team
- Deep expertise in Swift and extensive experience building scalable, production-grade native iOS apps.
- Strong experience with modular architectures (MVVM, Coordinators, DI, etc.).
- A proven record of leading complex initiatives and making impactful technical decisions.
- Comfort in mentoring engineers and guiding architectural vision.
- Experience in managing codebase health and implementing robust technical quality standards.
- The ability to balance speed with long-term technical foundations.

- Familiarity with Android architecture and cross-platform alignment challenges.
