About the Role:
To create the most beautiful photo products for our customers daily, the raw materials must be available on time at our factory in The Hague (Ypenburg). As a purchaser, you are responsible for creating new orders, discussing discrepancies with our suppliers, and processing the associated invoices. Your attention to detail and proactive approach contribute significantly to the efficiency and overall success of our supply chain. At our production site in The Hague (Ypenburg), we create the most beautiful photo products for renowned brands such as albelli, önskefoto, fotoknudsen, posterXXL, and Photobox.

Primary responsabilites

    • Alongside the purchasing manager, ensure the correct stock is available on time for production.
    • Place orders with our suppliers and ensure proper communication in the event of any discrepancies.
    • Keep the master data and contracts of all items in our ERP system up to date.
    • Check invoices from our suppliers and ensure they are paid on time in collaboration with the finance team.
    • Support the purchasing manager in preparing supplier meetings and periodic reviews.
    • Collaborate with the logistics team to process quality deviations of delivered goods.
    • Prepare and follow up on annual budgets monthly in collaboration with the purchasing manager and finance team.
    • Participate in improvement projects in the field of purchasing and logistics with internal and external locations.
    • Monitor and process purchase prices in Oracle.

    • You will make a significant contribution to the organisation by supporting cost savings, supplier relationships, process improvement, market research, risk management, compliance, data analysis, sustainability, documentation, and teamwork. You will have a considerable impact on our operational efficiency and overall customer satisfaction.

Experience and Attributes we'd like to see

    • A completed HBO education in a relevant field such as business economics, logistics, or supply chain.
    • Some commercial experience in a purchasing role.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and precise approach to tasks.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective cooperation at various levels, both internally and externally.
    • Some experience with MS Office, particularly Excel/Google Sheets, and basic knowledge of an ERP system (Oracle, SAP, etc.) and BI tool (Looker, PowerBI, etc.) is a plus.
    • Proficiency in both Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
